  • What is AIDS United University?

    AIDS United University is a tool for ongoing learning and training. We offer an array of courses to grow your understanding of HIV and provide you with the information you need to most effectively respond to the HIV epidemic in your community. We will release additional courses on an ongoing basis.

  • How can I enroll in a course?

    Visit the courses page to view currently available courses and enroll.

    If you are trying to enroll in the Closing the Gap: HIV Community Engagement E-Learning Series, the Transgender Leadership Initiative Leadership Development Course, or the Southern HIV Impact Fund Leadership Development Cohort, please refer back to your invitation email. These courses are only available to partner organizations at this time. Your unique link is required to register for the course. If you can't find your link or are having trouble enrolling in a course, please email us at [email protected].

  • How do I access my courses?

    Visit the courses page to view currently available courses and enroll. To access courses you are already enrolled in, please sign in and navigate to your student dashboard. Your dashboard will show all courses and communities you have access to. Courses are organized by name. You can click on a course to start or resume the course. You can return to the dashboard at any time by clicking "My Dashboard" or "Go to Dashboard" at the top of your screen. If you aren't seeing courses you've enrolled in within your student dashboard, please email us at [email protected].

  • What type of information is included in a course?

    Each AIDS United University course offers opportunities to learn new information, apply concepts, and engage with instructors and fellow learners. Instructional tools are customized to the topic of each course. Course content can include videos, narrated slide shows, quizzes, downloadable worksheets and handouts, submittable assignments, as well as discussion boards with instructors and fellow learners.

  • Do I have to complete a course in one sitting?

    You can complete the course in one sitting, or you can return to the platform multiple times and pick up where you left off. Be sure to click the “complete & continue” button to as you move through a course.

  • Why was my course progress not saved?

    When you complete a lesson, click the “complete & continue” button at the bottom of your screen. This will save your progress and mark the lesson as complete. If you click on the next lesson in the navigation bar, instead of clicking “complete & continue” your progress will not be saved.

  • Will I be able to access my completed courses?

    Yes! You can go back and review completed lessons and courses, as long as you are still enrolled in the course. You will generally remain enrolled in a course for one year. If you are having trouble accessing a completed course, please email us at [email protected].

  • What do I do if I can't log into my account?

    Please check to make sure you’re using the email address associated with your account. If you need to reset your password, visit our log-in page, select “forgot my password”, and then follow the prompts. An email will be sent to you within 5-10 minutes with a link to reset your password. If you don’t receive the email, please check your junk folder. If you are having trouble resetting your password or can’t determine the email address associated with your account, please email us at [email protected] and we’ll be happy to help.

  • Is AIDS United University supported on all browsers?

    The AIDS United University system is not compatible with Internet Explorer. Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Microsoft Edge are all supported. Chrome works particularly well with our system.
